In celebration of the 2025 Eid-ul-Adha festival, the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to community welfare by distributing essential food items and livestocks to thousands of residents across the local government area. The gesture is part of the administration’s continued effort to support residents and ensure that no family is left behind during the festive season.
While delivering his speech, Otunba Oloyede noted disclosed that " the goal of our administration is to ensure that no family is left out of celebration".
The distributed items include cows, rams, goats, 2,500 bags of 50kg rice, 10,000 bags of 5kg rice, and bottles of 75cl groundnut oil.
Beneficiaries of these large-scale distribution include mosques, religious leaders, community development associations (CDAs), community development committees (CDCs), artisans, people living with disabilities, party leaders, and other grassroots stakeholders.
Appreciating the chairman, the Chief Imam of Oshodi Central Mosque, Alhaji Muritala, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the chairman for his continued generosity.
“We appreciate the chairman for his kind gesture. He has been doing it before in the area of infrastructure, and now he has again put smiles on the faces of the people for this Eid. May Allah continue to bless him,” the cleric said.
To ensure wider reach and inclusion, the chairman also announced that 10 big cows will be slaughtered on Eid day and the meat will be distributed to residents who may not have received live animals. This initiative is aimed at spreading joy and fostering unity during the sacred festive season celebration.
The administration of Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede is committed to the welfare of all residents. His administration will continue to prioritize people-centered programs, especially those that promote social equity, religious harmony, and grassroots development.
